![]() MEDICAL TOXICOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AWARDS The MTF Development Awards are designed to ensure continued recruitment and retention of new medical toxicologists for years to come. This endowment focuses on attracting medical students and residents to careers in medical toxicology and providing opportunities for fellows-in-training to attend national medical toxicology conferences where they will present research proposals, deliver keynote talks and engage in academic development activities. In addition this program reaches out to international medical toxicology colleagues from developing countries to support their education and partnering on initiatives of mutual interest. The following awards are supported by this program:
Designed to motivate medical students or residents to pursue subspecialty training in medical toxicology by providing the opportunity to experience medical toxicology first-hand at the ACMT Spring Conference Meeting.
Promotes scholarship in the field of medical toxicology and recognizes outstanding submissions to the ACMT Spring Conference Fellows-In-Training Research Symposium. These awards will partially cover travel expenses for fellows who participate in this symposium at the ACMT Annual Spring Conference.
This program promotes the development of public speaking skills and lecture refinement amongst current fellows-in-training. Each year at the annual ACMT Spring Conference fellows-in-training will be selected to deliver short state-of-the art lectures to this national conference. This award will partially cover travel expenses for all fellows who participate in this program.
Provides educational opportunities for medical students and residents in institutions where no established medical toxicology program currently exists. Each visiting professor receives an honorarium and reimbursement for travel expenses.
Designed to encourage medical toxicologists from developing countries to experience U.S. medical toxicology first-hand at the ACMT Spring Conference Meeting. Recipients receive a travel honorarium to support travel to this annual conference |
