Fellows-in-Training Research Symposium
Friday, March 28, 2014, 4:45-6:45pm, Concurrent Sessions
The ACMT Fellows-in-Training Research Symposium is an integral part of the ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting. Each Fellow-in-Training who participates will be given 10 minutes for an oral presentation that should ideally emphasize the crafting of the study hypothesis and the proposed study methodology, data collection, and analytic techniques of a research proposal. Each presentation will be made in the presence of senior medical toxicology faculty for constructive comments and feedback. This session hopes to offer the Fellow-in-Training valuable insight that could strengthen their proposed research project.
The Research Symposium offers many benefits to the trainee including:
- Valuable public speaking experience
- Reputation-building and networking among peers and prospective employers
- Constructive critique of research ideas and methodology
- Exposure to other creative research processes
