Travis Olives, MD
egions Hospital / Minnesota Poison Control


Travis Olives is one of two first year toxicology fellows at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He completed a combined residency in Emergency Medicine & Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota after graduating from the University of Minnesota Medical School. 

In his "previous life," Travis was a high school educator, teaching Spanish and English as a Second Language to students in North Minneapolis. He holds advanced degrees in language education and public health, and is particularly interested in the intersection of literacy, socioeconomic disadvantage, and health outcomes. Travis currently has active research exploring the association between limited health literacy and outpatient antibiotic compliance,  the sociodemographic correlates of poison center utilization, and the association between prehospital ketamine administration and subsequent intubation.

Annie Arens, MD
University of California - San Francisco


Annie grew up in Minnesota, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and completed her medical school training at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. She then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Denver Health in 2013 and worked as an Emergency Medicine attending physician at San Francisco General Hospital prior to beginning her medical toxicology fellowship. 

She is currently the senior Medical Toxicology fellow at the University of California - San Francisco. Annie’s areas of acedemic interest include alcohol withdrawal and drugs of abuse.


Todd Phillips, MD
University of Pittsburgh 


Todd was born in Texas but grew up mostly in Indonesia and Louisiana outside New Orleans. He went to college at Texas A&M University and is a third generation Aggie making him a big fan. He graduated medical school at Texas Tech in 2011 and completed his emergency medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh. Todd is currently a medical toxicology fellow at the University of Pittsburgh.

His academic interests are acute care of the critically toxic patient, alcohol withdrawal, and acute pain management. His hobbies include golf, international travel, and playing ice hockey.  


Jenna LeRoy, MD
Regions Hospital / Minnesota Poison Control


Jenna LeRoy is a Medical Toxicology fellow at Regions Hospital/HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education and Research located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Regions Hospital/HealthPartners Institute for Medical Education and currently is an attending in Emergency Medicine in the HealthPartners system. Her professional interests include medical education, FOAMed, and CV med poisonings. Her hobbies include cooking, travel, and various athletic activities.
