ACMT Response to COVID-19
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the American College of Medical Toxicology Executive Committee has convened a task force of medical toxicology leaders to provide resources and support for the Medical Toxicology community, other health care professionals, and the public. The ACMT COVID-19 emergency response task force is providing the following resources below. For those with suggestions for further resource development please contact ACMT at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the COVID-19 pandemic emergency the medical toxicology, clinical toxicology, and poison center associations from around the world have partnered to deliver a weekly webinar briefing on emerging topics of importance, and including updates from medical professionals on the front lines treating the disease.
Each briefing will consist of approximately 30 minutes didactics, 10 minutes reports from health care practitioners working on the front lines, and 20 minutes for a Q&A where those from around the world can communicate with each other.
Our goal is to continue this briefing on a weekly basis during this emergency. Wednesdays at 3:00 pm EDT is reserved for this purpose. Updates will be found on the COVID-19 Webinar page.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to quickly move to on-line education and training, ACMT has consolidated its E-learning resources into one core library. This library is a compendium of ACMT on-line E-learning content that ACMT has developed in recent years. Over 150 hours of toxicological resources are available in this library which can be used for teaching and training.
