Continuing Education (CE)


In support of improving patient care, this activity is planned and implemented by Contemporary Forums and the American College of Medical Toxicology.  Contemporary Forums is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy  Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive up to 13.5 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.

Nurses and Nurse Practitioners

December 16: 7 ANCC/8.4 CA BRN contact hours 
December 17: 6.5 ANCC/7.8 CA BRN contact hours  

This activity awards 13.5 contact hours.  

Contemporary Forums is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #04516. (CA BRN contact hour = 50 minutes) 

ANCC Certified NPs and CNSs  

This activity provides a maximum of 13.5 pharmacotherapeutic hours toward the required 25 hours needed for ANCC recertification.  

Pharmacology Credit for Prescriptive Authority

This activity has multiple ACPE Universal Activity Numbers and is a knowledge-based CPE activity.  

Contemporary Forums will utilize CPE Monitor for tracking and reporting of all ACPE accredited sessions. Pharmacists will need to create their e-profile at in order to obtain their NABP e-Profile ID (ePID). To receive CE credit you must provide your ePID and birth date when you complete your online post-conference evaluations.

Physician Assistants

AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. Physician Assistants may receive a maximum of the listed hours of Category I credit for completing this program.
