Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units (PEHSU) Webinar Series

The PEHSU Program will host a regularly scheduled series (RSS) of scientific webinars. The purpose of this webinar series is to provide a forum for regular discourse on scientific issues and to facilitate the development of educational material that will be made available on demand to a wider audience and as part of our educational products offering. The following types of webinars will be offered and hosted by one of the regions within the PEHSU-West Region. Please see the schedule of webinars below.
 

Case Conference

This in-depth and interactive series provides a platform for learning and discussion about issues that focus on current and emerging aspects of pediatric and reproductive environmental health. Three cases will be presented for discussion. The presenter will begin by presenting several clinical cases/case presentations. This will be followed by a discussion of the outcome of the case with consideration and implications for current and future clinical and public health practice. The presenter will conclude by discussing preventive steps that can be taken to decrease exposure to environmental hazards and improve patient care.

Journal Club

This in-depth and interactive series provides a platform for learning and discussion about issues that focus on current and emerging aspects of pediatric and reproductive environmental health. Three articles will be presented for discussion. The presenter will begin by describing the study methodologies used in the journal articles, followed by a discussion of the results of the studies under consideration and implications for current clinical and public health practice, and a conclude with discussion of preventive steps that can be taken to decrease exposure to as evidenced in the journal articles.

Grand Rounds

This in-depth and interactive series provides a platform for learning and discussion about issues that focus on current and emerging aspects of pediatric and reproductive environmental health. The grand rounds speaker will be a PEHSU staff member, consultant or external expert who will share their knowledge and experience and highlight areas for collaboration and mutual understanding.
