Flexibility. It’s just a fact that as public health recommendations change, we will adapt our policies and recommendations in regard to the 2022 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting & Symposium. That said, we are continually evaluating our activities to ensure that they align with federal, state, local and venue guidance. With this in mind, all attendees should be aware that ACMT reserves the right to revise, change, cancel, or amend as necessary. |

We're sure some of you are asking this question and it's a valid one. A few reasons:

Yes. We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio—but only if you’re fully vaccinated. We will ask during the registration process about your vaccination status, and we will ask in-person attendees to upload a photo of their COVID-19 vaccine card. We trust our members and attendees to be truthful and to adhere to public health safety guidelines. If you are not vaccinated, we encourage you to attend virtually, for everyone’s safety. If you haven’t gotten vaccinated yet – please do so! We want to see you in person. |

Effective July 27, 2021, the CDC advises those vaccinated (either fully or partially) to wear face masks while indoors in public. As a result, ACMT may require all in-person attendees to wear a face mask while attending 2022 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting & Symposium activities. At the time of the conference, we will adhere to the latest CDC advisory. |

No, attendees can expect a mix of in-person and virtual presentations. In recognition that everyone's comfort level about travel is different during the pandemic, we are leaving it up to the speakers to decide for themselves whether they will present in-person or virtually. We certainly hope that as many speakers as possible will feel comfortable to attend in-person, and we are encouraging their in-person attendance, but we are not requiring it. |

Yes, we will have exhibitors that will be available during designated hours. The exhibitor space will be designed to meet all State and Federal COVID guidelines. |

At present, we plan on hosting a President’s Reception for in-person attendees at the Hilton Palacio del Rio in San Antonio. Weather permitting, the event will be held outside. That said, we are continually evaluating our activities at the conference to ensure they align with federal, state, local and venue guidance. With this in mind, all in-person attendees should be aware that some events could be modified or cancelled due to safety concerns or restrictions. |

Yes, and we're trying to make this as easy as possible. Obviously, it’s important for ACMT to know in advance how many people will be at our in-person event -- this is incredibly important for ordering food and beverage and for knowing how many staff we should have on-hand. That said, if you’re not feeling well and can no longer attend in-person, we don’t want you to be penalized for having to switch your in-person attendee status to virtual. If you are making a change, all we ask is that you please let us know as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly. If you would like to change your attendance status from in-person to virtual or vice versa, write to us at events@acmt.net. |

Yes -- to get fully refunded, you must cancel your room reservation 3 days before you were scheduled to arrive. You are responsible for cancelling your own room reservation. The Hilton’s cancellation policy states that: if the reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of the arrival date or the guest is a no-show, a one-night room and tax will be charged towards the credit card. |

The primary difference between in-person and virtual attendance is that virtual attendees will not be able to attend in-person social events like the President’s Reception. Virtual attendees will have access to a livestream of all plenary sessions as well as on-demand recordings of these sessions after the event. Virtual attendees watching the livestream will be able to submit questions via a Q&A feature, but they will not be able to speak directly to the presenters. When it comes to posters, the experience will be the same for both in-person and virtual attendees as there will be no in-person authors with posters session. All posters will be hosted in an eGallery (same format as the fully virtual 2021 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting) where attendees can view the poster as well as hear an audio recording of the author presenting their research. |

Like virtual attendees, in-person attendees will get access to the virtual event platform -- this is where everyone will access the agenda and presentation slides. This is also where everyone will be able to watch recordings of sessions on-demand after the event. The primary benefit to attending the event in-person is the networking that occurs outside of the plenary sessions, including discussions with exhibitor representatives, the President's Reception, and any informal dinners or gatherings you choose to create with other in-person attendees. |
