Award Nominations and Applications

ACMT and our Medical Toxicology Foundation (MTF) are proud to announce the following opportunities. 

The nomination and application deadline for these awards is November 1, 2018.


 ACMT MATTHEW J. ELLENHORN AWARD

This award is to honor an individual who has had a distinguished career and has made extraordinary contributions to the field of medical toxicology.

The recipient will be notified late fall and will be recognized at the 2019 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting in San Francisco, CA, April 12-14, 2019. The recipient will have the opportunity to deliver a keynote address on a topic of his/her choice or have one presented in his/her honor. 


 ACMT RECOGNITION AWARDS

These awards are to honor ACMT members who have made significant contributions to the College or to the specialty of Medical Toxicology. There are numerous ACMT members that are deserving of these honors and recognition, please send your nominations today.

  1. Outstanding Service to the College
  2. Outstanding Contribution to Medical Toxicology Education
  3. Outstanding Contribution to Medical Toxicology Research

MTF MICHAEL P. SPADAFORA MEDICAL TOXICOLOGY TRAVEL AWARD

This award is designed to encourage residents to pursue Medical Toxicology fellowship training by providing them the opportunity to attend the ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting.

Any PGY-1 or PGY-2 in a three-year residency program (or a PGY-1, 2, or 3 in a four-year program) of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program is eligible to receive the award. The awardee will be recognized at the 2019 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting in San Francisco, CA, April 12-14, 2019. The award of $1,500 will provide funds to support travel, meeting registration, meals and lodging. Please pass this information along to interested and potentially qualified residents.


 MTF TRAVEL AWARD FOR UNDERREPRESENTED MINORITY MEDICAL TRAINEES

This award was established to encourage underrepresented minority medical trainees (medical students or residents) to attend the annual ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting.

The awardee will be recognized at the 2019 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting in San Francisco, CA, April 12-14, 2019. The award of $1,500 will provide funds to support travel, meeting registration, meals and lodging. Please pass this information along to interested and potentially qualified resident/students.
