Receiving the MTF Innovative Research and Teaching Award fundamentally altered my career trajectory by showing me what was possible within pediatric toxicologic research and has ignited a passion for research. I have subsequently investigated anti-epileptic overdoses utilizing the NPDS, examined the use of diagnostic testing modalities in pediatric marijuana overdoses using PHIS, and evaluated patient characteristics associated with pediatric naloxone distribution.

Your gift helps MTF support initiatives that advance medical toxicology, including research, education, professional development, and opportunities for students, residents, fellows, and early-career physicians. Our largest contributions directly fund research opportunities like the Alnylam Safety and Risk Management Physician Fellowship, the Medical Toxicology in Industry Fellows Virtual Rotation Program, as well as other research projects. The MTF also funds a variety of Travel Awards, helping people around the world with a career interest in medical toxicology join ACMT's Annual Scientific Meeting for a wealth of educational programming.
