ACMT Activities at 2023 NACCT

It was inspiring to see so many colleagues in Montreal this past week ! We were excited to engage with colleagues, see new and familiar faces, and engage with everyone during this fantastic event.

ACMT activities at NACCT opened on Wednesday, September 27th, as lead organizer Dr. Andrea Carlson moderated the Pre-Symposium: Bioethics & Medical Toxicology. The symposium featured multiple lectures, led by expert speakers, on the ethical impact of topics relevant to medical toxicology. Thursday, September 28th the 24th ACMT Clinical Pathophysiology Competition (CPC) was hosted by Dr. Jeffrey Suchard.

On Saturday, September 30th, ACMT hosted four activities. Dr Stephanie Weiss moderated the ACMT Scientific Symposium, and Drs. Julie Bruneau and Didier Jutras-Aswad spoke on "Fire and Ice: SUD and OUD Management in Canada". Following the symposium, Dr. Jeffrey Brent moderated the ACMT Fellows-in-Training Roundtable on "Starting A New Medical Toxicology Service". Dr. Michael Khoury moderated the ACMT Practice Symposium: A Toxicologist, a Neurologist, and a Psychiatrist Walk Into the ICU…, which featured Drs. Tara Dutta, J.J. Rasimas, and Jordan Rosen. The activities concluded with the FIT Visiting Professor Lecture entitled "Financial Literacy for the Recently Graduated", which was moderated by Dr. Andy King and featured Dr. Kristine Nañagas, an associate professor of clinical emergency medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine.
