RFP Event Details
ACMT Symposium
The ACMT Symposium is a pre-meeting event, held the day before the main conference, in parallel to the ACMT Boot Camp. Its purpose is to bring medical toxicology education to a wider audience by targeting local medical professionals with a topic that is relevant to our membership and the broader medical community.
Previous Topics/Titles have Included:

- The 4th Wave: Methamphetamine & Stimulants (2021)

ACMT Boot Camp
The ACMT Boot Camp is a pre-meeting event held the day before the main conference, in parallel to the ACMT Symposium. Previous Topics/Titles have Included:
- Occupational & Environmental Tox Boot Camp (2025)
- Risk Communication and Risk Assessment Boot Camp (2026)
NACCT ACMT Pre-Meeting Symposium

Submit & Review
How to Apply
Proposals should include the following details:
- Title: A clear and concise title that reflects the overall theme and vision for the Symposia.
- Objectives & Description: Briefly outline 2-3 educational objectives. Include a short paragraph detailing the overall expectations and vision for the symposia.
- Format: Draft or outline for a full-day course of approximately 6-7 hours of educational content OR a half-day course of 3-5 hours. We encourage creative educational formats such as plenary sessions, breakout sessions, panel discussions, or other interactive methods, in addition to traditional didactic lectures.
- Plenaries: Suggested topics with proposed titles, presentation lengths, and preliminary objectives. Didactic sessions are generally 30 minutes each but may be grouped or paired based on related themes.
- Panel Discussions: Panels should foster active discussion among the panelists and audience. Minimal use of prepared didactic material is preferred. For proposed panels, include the topic, objectives, and time allocation. Panel discussions typically last 30-60 minutes.
- Speakers: You may suggest potential speakers, but please do not make any commitments to speakers before submitting your proposal. The final selection of speakers and modifications to the session will be at the discretion of the ACMT Education Committee.
Review Process
Submissions will be periodically reviewed by the current Committee. If there is an interest in your proposal for an upcoming ACMT Symposium, Boot Camp or Pre-Meeting Symposium, you will be contacted 10-14 months in advance.
The Education Committee reserves the right to reconsider sessions if significant changes are made, such as speaker substitutions or shifts in the session’s intended focus.
