Are you a medical student or resident interested in exploring a career in medical toxicology?
The ACMT Catalyst Program provides a unique opportunity for future toxicologists to gain behind-the-scenes access to the ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting while building meaningful connections with leaders, fellows, and physicians in the field.
Selected participants will serve as conference volunteers and representatives while participating in educational sessions, networking events, and mentorship opportunities throughout the meeting. Ambassadors will work alongside ACMT staff and leadership, gaining valuable experience in conference operations and professional engagement while learning more about the specialty of medical toxicology.

Applications are due by September 30, 2026 to be eligible for ASM 2027 in New Orleans, LA in April 2027.

Participant Responsibilities
- Assisting with educational sessions and room logistics
- Supporting poster sessions and special events
- Serving as a session timer or room monitor
- Assisting with attendee engagement and networking activities
- Taking notes during committee meetings and special sessions
- Supporting social media and content creation efforts
- Helping with conference registration and attendee support
- Assisting with various meeting logistics as needed
Participants will have designated volunteer responsibilities throughout the meeting while maintaining ample time to attend educational sessions and participate in networking opportunities.

Eligibility
The ACMT Catalyst Program is intended for medical students and residents who are interested in learning more about medical toxicology and exploring future involvement in the specialty.
Applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. or Canadian medical school or residency training program
- Be a medical student or resident in good standing at their institution
- Demonstrate an interest in medical toxicology, emergency medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
- Be available to attend the entire ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting
- Be willing to participate in assigned ambassador responsibilities throughout the meeting
The program is designed to introduce future physicians to the field of medical toxicology, provide mentorship opportunities, and foster early engagement with ACMT and its members.
A limited number of participants will be selected each year through a competitive application process.
