The American College of Medical Toxicology’s Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC) has received several reports of patients who became ill from using ivermectin formulations to prevent or treat COVID-19 infection. The COVID-19 Sub-Registry will be developed as an enhanced data collection tool within the ToxIC network that will specifically focus on identifying potential adverse reactions related to COVID-19 drug treatments. Physicians specialized in medical toxicology will oversee the program at 15 designated medical centers across various geographic regions in the United States. -
ACMT is Awarded Subcontract on NIDA R01 Grant
In April 2020, the Toxicology Investigator’s Consortium was awarded a 5-year subcontract to the Icahn School of Medicine on a new R01 from the National Institute on Drug Abuse. -
