For our upcoming 2025 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting, the planning committee is looking to engage the membership with creative ideas for our scientific sessions. To this end, we are looking for multiple proposals for consideration. 

All ideas are welcome and all topics submitted will be considered. The 2025 organizing committee is especially interested in submissions that include:

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within Medical Toxicology
  • Occupational & Environmental Toxicology
  • Toxicology and Public Health
  • Toxicology in the News - MedTox & Current Events
  • Technology and Sensor Utilization
  • Using Large Databases in Toxicology Research

Opportunities are available for: Keynotes, Plenaries or Concurrent Sessions, and Workshops. When submitting your idea, please select the type of session you think your topic would best fit, but also be aware that if chosen the committee may request the type of your session is modified.  

The 2025 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting will take place in-person on April 4-6, 2025 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver, Canada. If your proposal is accepted, you will be expected to register and attend the meeting in-person.

Session Descriptions

Keynote
Keynotes are typically 45-60 minutes in length, depending on if the session consists of one presenter or a panel. 

  • Solo: 1 presenter who delivers a 30-minute presentation followed by 15-minutes of Q&A with the audience. 
  • Panel: 2-3 presenters who deliver 15-20-minute presentations followed by 10-15 minutes of Q&A with all panelists.

All ideas are welcome and all topics submitted will be considered, but special consideration will be given to the topical areas listed above.

Plenary/Concurrent Session:
Plenary sessions are 30 minutes in length. A presenter should plan on giving a 20-minute presentation followed by 10 minutes for audience Q&A. These sessions may be held concurrently with other sessions, appealing to a niche audience. All ideas are welcome and all topics submitted will be considered. 

Workshop:
Workshops are 30 minutes in length. The goal of the workshop should be to engage attendees in an interactive learning experience in new concepts/topics and skill development relevant to professional/clinical practice. Workshops are often held concurrently. All ideas are welcome and all topics submitted will be considered, but special consideration will be given to those workshops that focus on professional development.

Please submit a short (less than 300 words) abstract with the following three sections:

  1. Proposed Title
  2. Name of Proposed Speaker(s) and Moderator (if a Panel Discussion)
  3. Summary of the Proposed Presentation
  4. Learner Objectives (1-3)
