Brandtly Yakey, DO to Receive 2025 Charles E. Becker Medal for Outstanding Achievement as a Medical Toxicology Fellow
The American College of Medical Toxicology and the Medical Toxicology Foundation are pleased to announce that Brandtly Yakey, DO is the 2025 recipient of the Charles E. Becker Medal for Outstanding Achievement as a Medical Toxicology Fellow. The Becker Medal was established with the generous support of the late Dr. Charles Becker, a pioneering leader in the field of medical toxicology. In keeping with his vision, the Becker Medal recognizes a recently graduated medical toxicology fellow who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in scholarship, education, and/or research, and who has made contributions to public health, innovation, humanitarianism, and/or “making a positive difference in the world.”
Dr. Yakey completed the Medical Toxicology Fellowship program at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 2023. He currently serves as a medical toxicologist at the Michigan Poison and Drug Information Center and the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. Dr. Yakey will formally receive the Becker Medal during a ceremony at the 2025 ACMT Annual Scientific Meeting in Vancouver, B.C.
