American College of Medical Toxicology Reports Data on Adverse Effects and Toxicity from Unapproved Use of Ivermectin for the Prevention or Treatment of COVID-19
The American College of Medical Toxicologyâs Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC) has received several reports of patients who became ill from using ivermectin formulations to prevent or treat COVID-19 infection. These incidents were reported through ToxICâs FDA ACMT COVID-19 ToxIC (FACT) Pharmacovigilance Project Sub-registry between October 2020 and August 2021. -

ACMT to Offer Virtual Total Tox Course for Healthcare Providers
The American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) will present the 2021 Virtual âTotal Tox Courseâ on three Fridays in February â the 5th, 12th, and 19th. Attendees may choose to register for one, two, or for the complete course, all three days. The course is intended for a wide array of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, paramedics, EMTs, first responders, and others.  -

The COVID-19 Sub-Registry will be developed as an enhanced data collection tool within the ToxIC network that will specifically focus on identifying potential adverse reactions related to COVID-19 drug treatments. Physicians specialized in medical toxicology will oversee the program at 15 designated medical centers across various geographic regions in the United States. -
