Dr. Diane Calello became a member of ACMT in 2001, and her second term as an ACMT Board Member runs from 2020-2023. She is currently the Executive and Medical Director at New Jersey Poison Information and Education System and also a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. We are pleased to be able to get to know Dr. Calello a little better through this brief interview.

The American College of Medical Toxicology’s Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC) has received several reports of patients who became ill from using ivermectin formulations to prevent or treat COVID-19 infection. These incidents were reported through ToxIC’s FDA ACMT COVID-19 ToxIC (FACT) Pharmacovigilance Project Sub-registry between October 2020 and August 2021.

Dr. Mark Mycyk became a member of ACMT in 2000, and his term as an ACMT Board Member runs from 2021-2024. He is currently a Chair of Research of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Cook County Health in Chicago, Illinois. We are pleased to be able to get to know Dr. Mycyk a little better through this brief interview.

Dr. Anthony Pizon became a member of ACMT in 2004, and his term as ACMT Vice President runs from 2021-2023. He is currently a Professor in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Chief of the Division of Medical Toxicology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are pleased to be able to get to know Dr. Pizon a little better through this brief interview.

Dr. Ziad Kazzi became a member of ACMT in 2003, and his term as ACMT Secretary/Treasurer runs from 2021-2023. He is currently Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. We are pleased to be able to get to know Dr. Kazzi a little better through this brief interview.

Dr. Louise Kao became a member of ACMT in 2000, and her term as ACMT Board President runs from 2021-2023. She is currently Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology Fellowship Director at Indiana University School of Medicine. We are pleased to be able to get to know Dr. Kao a little better through this brief interview.

ACMT is delighted to introduce our new Vice President Dr. Anthony Pizon and Secretary/Treasurer Dr. Ziad Kazzi for the 2021-2023 term. Dr. Pizon and Dr. Kazzi have both demonstrated excellent service to the college and leadership.

ACMT is delighted to introduce our two new Board Members. Dr. Christina Hantsch and Dr. Mark Mycyk were elected to the Board at the fall 2020 ACMT Board meeting. They will serve for the 2021-2023 term.

With 383 attendees, the American College of Medical Toxicology’s 2021 Virtual Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) on April 14-16 was the highest attended ASM in the history of ACMT.

Congratulations to 2021 Ellenhorn Award recipient Leslie Boyer, MD, FACMT. Dr. Boyer will present the 2021 Ellenhorn Address at ASM on April 14th.
